Default Mac powerbook compatibility in hotels

Hi guys!
I have a Mac Powerbook G4 running OSX v.10.3.9 256 MB SDRAM. I'm starting a new job where I'll be staying in hotels, and I know most have internet access. I want to take my computer with me. I asked one time and was given a card, but it was for a windows machine. They had nothing for a Mac.

I don't want to seem like a complete idiot when checking in. Do you guys know anything about this? Is there a Universal card that would fit into my laptop or an airport card of some kind? If so, do they install it? Is there a plug in for DSL in the rooms so all I would have to do is plug in like I do at home, or would that just be too easy??

Does anyone know? HELP!! Thanks in advance!
Hugs,
Jan
