Infections can raise blood sugar in sensitive people, too.

If your sweats are at a particular time... each night, try having some cheese or a high protein health bar before bedtime (carbs or large snack may make sweating worse). It may change the sweat time, or even suppress it. There is a nice high protein yogurt...at Kroger's Carbmaster with only 4 grams of carb and 12 grams of protein. Tastes like a fruit pudding! Only 80 cals.
This is an example of a good snack to test with.

If you sweat alot after eating...this is called gustatory sweating and may indicate the beginning of diabetes too.

Some doctors believe everyone over 40 develops some insulin resistance. Some progress on to pre-diabetes and others less so, depending on genetics, diet, lifestyle, etc.
