I have phantom itching really bad and look like I always have some sort of nastiness because i am always scratching. I had a nurse tell me to get Gold Bond lotion to help that. I explained why I was scratching, that it was my nerves not real itchiness and she still said it would help..

Anyone think it would?
I never thought about this as a possibility with MS (and don't know the answer to that) but I do know it did happen with a facial laceration I received on my chin when I was 17 (requiring 63 stitches). As the severed nerves sought to reconnect, I experienced itching sensations. The surgeons said that was normal and yes, my "nerves were reconnecting" (they did not say remyelinating)
