The reason I encourage you to pay attention to this? IS that concussions can show up on MRI's 5-10-20-30+ years later. I speak from experience here. Apparently your brain and any 'dings' you mite have had from age 0 on eventually show up on MRI's or other types of scans. I'd had one of the 'other' type of scans and I was asked about prior head traumas...I first thought recently, such as 10 or 15 years ago? [Hey! I'm older than you, but got dinged up good in my day too!] and I really had to replay my life to recall how many times I'd fallen off horses [and when, and hard] that I'd considered totally unimportant to my tests! They can be important now. Those 'dings' and bungs show up on your brain as light, dark or 'nothing' spaces on many special scans. Essentially if you fell off your bike at age 7 and got a concussion then? It Will Show UP! And It mite or not mean anything. Doesn't mean to panic now, just remember it for life and know that you must take care now so you won't have to worry in the long run!
That 'disconnect' stuff is totally unpleasant! It takes time for things to get re-programmed, kind of like a computer w/glitches? But,time is all you need, after which you will be back at all things with a vengeance! 's - j
yea i have definitely been thinking about other times i could have possibly hit my head or gotten a concussion where i just didnt get any symptoms. surprisingly i thought of quite a few. well it obviously hasnt showed up yet if i did get any because ive had a ct scan and an mri which both came back almost totally normal. it might just take a little longer i guess. what do you mean by the "disconnect" stuff
