Hey Pam
i agree with all the above,,,But some people are really sensitive and prone to get them no matter what they do,,I do know that rsd does affect the nails,,exspecially the big toe nails.{ask fmicheal, for a abstract on his take for which i spoke once with him on this matter],,alot of times the nails will grove or get ripples, ridges and turn colors,,,some of this mess is from other conditions and the meds we take,,,,but i believe there is a correlation between rsd and weird nail growth,,mine was fine until a year ago,,with me ,,its both big toes with grooves and slightly light brown, and my r-middle finger and r-thumb,,,,i was fine until rsd,,,or it could be related to other things,,mike told me he was 6 months out when both his big toes nails went haywire[I hope my memerory is correct mike]],,,,,but i do agree,,,,,,,,,,,let them grow,i keep my problem nails quarter of an inch or better grown out,,,,,,,,,,,,,good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bobber
