There is no excuse for the way they treated you Dejibo.
When people like that show their true colors, they lose face...so then they up the abuse against you...to deflect their own weaknesses. Dumping on you is their way. So please don't take it personally. Considering you were doing a FAVOR... they must be really low lifes to treat you that way. Sheesh.
I would consider telling your neighbors who entrusted you with the key, as to what happened. If those renters can be so cruel to you and the dog, imagine what they will do to the house itself?
Poor tenants..etc.
The poor pooch... he probably had a great time, AWOL, running free!
