Yes.
I was in a bad MVA with a truck, 20 some years ago, and wore appliances. The mouth burning started about 7 years ago. I wondered about the plastic myself, but alas, I ended up with an autoimmune condition with autonomic and sensory neuropathy.
I have some spinal damage, herniated discs as well.
I imagine you could draw inferences, but, there are many, many things this could be. For me, burning mouth heralded the onset of Sjogren's Syndrome and other autoimmune issues....and it was neuro burn, not just dry mouth.
I hope you get resolution.
I don't know what caused what...MVA, Lyme Disease or a line of very related genetics. Life has been a mystery (and quite a bit of misery many days.)
