Echinacea should not be used very day... there should be a week or so with a rest, say once a month.
Also people with autoimmune issues should not use it.
I myself find 500mg of Vit C and one Zinc tablet (zinc monomethionine 30mg) keeps me from getting typical illnesses.
There is mention now of Vit D helping prevent viral illness.
( I use 4000IUs of that for 9 mons a year. I don't take it in summer).
