Default Horrible Mammogram experience. (long)

I always dread going because it always hurts sooo bad I cry!

Anyhow; I told the tech I have problems holding still because of tremors and I know it will be difficult for them because I am a very round "B".

I asked her to please be patient with me because it will hurt more as it pulls so hard at the skin on my chest wall trying to get an image.

She removed the drape exposing both Sara and Susan and said "you have a red skin here on this one that looks like cancer".

I told her that my Doctor had sent me to the surgeon last year and my mammogram came out okay and the red and white spots (on Susan) was a birthmark that's always been there.

She said a surgeon doesn't know anything about what's on the outside only the inside so she wouldn't know anything about breast cancer anyway.

She was very rough yanking and trying to position me which is darn near impossible. She was angry with me because I couldn't stand still and I was whiney and a baby.

She took more images of Susan while talking to the other tech and saying how difficult I was to image and how easy the woman was ahead of me.

(No wonder; her twins were like golf balls in socks! )

She went on to describe the horrors of breast cancer and I would likely die a long and painful death.

She said my surgeon should have operated when she had the chance and letting it go so long wasn't a good idea because it has a big head start!

When I got home I called the clinic and spoke to the supervisor about what had transpired and what they had said about my surgeon.

I hope no one ever has to go through something like this and this is my last mammogram. Both the twins are bruised and Susan is really sore so using an ice pack.

I called my Doctor today and they will ultrasound from now on at the hospital because I refuse to go back there.
