Dear Bizi,
Thank you for your concern. Dentist number 1 took a while to figure out I was grinding -- and missed damage. He stopped some of it with a thing sort of like a retainer. The problem is it does not completely stop the damage AND it got old and started deteriorating. He would not give me a new one, lost interest in me. I think he has overwhelming personal issues. The device is foundamentally flawed in that it tends to encourage grinding. I still wake up with some teeth and jaw pain. I wait a few hours (half a day) before eating unless it is something like scrambled eggs.
So I have been trying to get in to see a new dentist. I met dentist #2 for a consult in dec. He can fit me for a device that can stop/greatly diminish the clenching/ginding I hope.

Holding hope.
