Hi sweetgirl,

The small hard white bump could be a bony spur/splinter or the bony ridge of the jawbone where the gum has become tight against it.

Some bony spurs/splinters come out on their own and others are removed relatively simply by the dentist. If the area gets red, swollen or sore, or if you are concerned about what it is exactly, see your dentist to evaluate it.
