I am taking 10 - 25mgs at night. Would this be enough to cause (otherwise unexplained) weight gain? Has anyone experienced this? Any information / thoughts would be greatfully appreciated.

Yes, Christine, Amitriptyline does cause weight gain. All anti-depressants that are primarily serotonin re-uptake inhibitors cause weight gain due to their anti-cholinergic effect.
