Everyone is reporting a dramatic drop in Trick or Treaters and I'm sure H1N1 is responsible.

Many of my friends didn't let their kids go out. We changed our routine. We live in the sticks and usually take our daughter into the nearest village for Halloween. Instead my husband drove her round to our few neighbouring farms. That way she got less exposure. Fortunately, she didn't get any less candy because everyone was so thrilled to have a little visitor that they showered her with goodies.

I hope they get a handle on this thing soon or it's going to be another big blow for the economy. Who in their right mind would venture unvaccinated into a crowded mall to do their Christmas shopping? The movie theatres and restaurants around here are already hurting.
