Here in Michigan I dread this colder weather coming on. I start to hurt in the muscles and ligaments. I wake up stiff and my legs get all "restless leg symndromy". I invested in an electric blanket to warm up my bed and comfort the achey feeling brought on by the cooler temps. Warm baths help too. I have to keep up with my Baclofen according to my doc....as well as some Requip for the restless legs. At least taking the Baclofen at night helps me sleep too. Heat is always the answer for me.....sounds weird since heat is the enemy for most MSers....but when spasticity is a problem....its heat to the rescue. Creams like Capcasin do trick the brain into concentrating on the creams sensation instead of the faulty sensations going to the muscles, but they are stinky and OMG DONT TOUCH ANY OTHER PART OF YOUR BODY UNTIL YOU THOUROUGHLY WASH YOUR HANDS

I always say "love hurts" but so does the cold.
