Unfortunately, it usually takes 7 - 10 days for an immunization to take effect. I assume you are taking extreme precautions (STAY AWAY FROM ME!) around him. I hope you dodge it.
I had flu last winter that had all of the symptoms of H1N1, but I was not tested for it. That may have given me some immunity. But I will still go for the shot when they have the vaccine.
