I have no clue how to help you with this problem. I do think offering
to help with the personel things is good.

But I also think it would be a good idea, especially if they are going to
expect you to take on more responsibilities if you explain what is going
on with you.

But I do understand how hard this is going to be for you. Hoping you
come up with some ideas.
