Postive attitude, ready to go. He was talking about some of the differences between the scs and pump. Of course, with the scs you must be so careful as to what you can do after you get it. With the pump, you need to be careful, but not as careful. things like horseback riding, etc are all acceptable activities. I should know either tomorrow or the next day when I go into the hospital for the trial. I should be in there about 4 days. then it will come out, and if it worked, then they wait 2 wks then put the perm unit in. Because I throw infections so easily, he wants me to stay in the hospital after the perm pump, just to make sure everything is ok. so I may be in a couple of days more. with the pump, he wants me up the next day, maybe going to the cafateria to eat, walking around the hospital, almost anything I want to try to do that can be done at the hopsital. down to the gift shop, etc. I'm beyond excited. and you know what.....he understands pain. OMG...can you believe it. He was shocked that I'm only on extender release without something for BT pain. he TOLD me that pain isn't constant, things effect it. weather, stress, doing to much. He said that pain control has to change with each day. that you should have a base med, but also have the ability to add or subtract some meds depending on how you are feeling.. I looked at him and wanted to pinch him...was he real. he was...he's wonderful...no sense of umor, but his compassion and understanding is amazing. anyone in Md, Va, Washington dc. needs to see thises PMs iff they aren't happy with their. they are amazing. even the nurses specialzie in PM. I think I 've died and gone to heaven..

Happy Happy Hugs
