Yes, I know about Norton... came with the XP software I installed on the computer I built for my parents .

Norton was too confusing for them {I didn't care for the layout/format style} and I had an extra license for my Zone Alarm so i removed all of the Norton stuff and installed ZA.
Makes simpler for me since I know ZA well - and when mine updates or has something I know I have to go check theirs too.

I think I had to go into windows system files and clean it out that way to get it all.
- but have no clue on a Mac - you could to do a web search for info on how best to do it.

And I always double triple verify the info i find before trying something like that with info off the web.
with reputable sites etc..


On the memory increase - I know with most pcs they suggest a matched set/same brands - maybe that is the problem??
