It must have been a tough choice for them to make, leaving their life behind. But you know, despite his health, they are going to be glad to be near their kids again.

He sounds like a good man, and now he must be feeling pretty isolated. We have a friend who has diabetes and became w/c bound. I know he is a lot more upset about how the disease affected all his relationships than how it affected him physically. He's a people person who sits alone. Dh is one of the few people who still calls him regularly.

I know you'll keep in touch with these folks, and that will mean more than you know.
