Default atrophy- leg drop question

I read somewhere a couple of years ago about one side effect from an ESI. That if a Surgeon does not exactly hit the right area with an ESI (lumbar) that the wrong nerve can be hit or damaged, causing leg atrophy (leg drop). I have been researching all morning "side effects of an ESI", and cannot find info on leg drop being caused (sometimes) by an ESI. Is this something that Doctors just don't want to talk about, or does someone here know where I can find out this information? I may have read it on some "Spinal Forum", I KNOW I've read about it before but just cannot locate it. Thanks for any help.
