JD, I feel so much sadness for you... I deeply regret that you have had to lose such an important friend and companion..
This past Monday, I spoke to my psychiatrist about getting his recommendation for an Emotional Support Dog, and he wrote the prescription with enthusiasm and said he would like to receive more information about the laws that govern such support animals. He is a very caring man and I know he will reach out to more of his emotionally needy and isolated patients.
I hope that you will have another dog in your life. You can never replace one friend with another... but there can be another companion who wants to offer love and devotion to you...
