That is a great question. It seems that a "Hemorrhagic stroke is the end result of a ruptured aneurysm while a ischemic stroke is where there's constriction of blood supply to the brain usually by a blood clot. Both strokes create interruption of blood supply." Got this from a site called "wisegeek".
