I don't know whether to laugh or weep as I read these responses. I'm sitting here nodding my head! I'm going to try to make a composite of some of the posts to use as a reference sheet for those who don't get it (which is most people)

I've tried to describe it to my daughter who SO wants to understand, but I hear myself saying, "No, it doesn't really hurt. No, it doesn't really 'bind'. No, it doesn't scratch or chafe or any of those things. It's just a sensation that I can barely tolerate some days." And when I focus on it (I try not to), I can't breathe. Grrrrr.
