I was just watching Animal Planet - Dogs 101, where they were talking about designer dogs. One was the *Chiweenie*. They said it was a real challange to potty train - both parents are some of the toughest!

Did not go into details as to why, but I have heard that smaller dogs usually are, and I agree. Their home range is smaller. You know, how dogs *go* in their territory, but not where they sleep? Well, that area is pretty tiny because the dog is tiny. Imagine how far away everything must seem when your legs are 2 inches long.

.

To them, outside is a million miles. That must be somebody else's domain.

If she sleeps in the living room most of the day, then the potty place could be the dining room - that's a hike to her, that's away from what she thinks of as the *den*.

I think it only complicates matters if the house is too big. This place wears me out, what must the dogs think? And carpet - ugh! I need to be someplace warm where hard floors make sense. If I could properly clean up so they couldn't smell it, that would be a huge help.
