I had to postpone the MRI. I have Crohn's and a flare came from out of the blue the night before my MRI, which had me running to the bathroom every 20 minutes or so. I guess I have to lay there for up to 2 hours for the MRI (head and c-spine) . . . .

. . . which could be nearly impossible for me even on a good day! Haven't rescheduled, as my gut has not yet calmed down sufficiently.
I have to say I am also concerned about the gadolinium contrast they use. I have a kidney ultrasound on the 10th to track a kidney cyst to make sure it is not growing; and although my kidney function bloodwork is within normal limits, the side effects of the contrast would be highly unwelcome! Anyone got advice on how not to let fear of the test get in my way now?
