That's a great example of "Pay to Play".

You're right, it is like a bank account. If we want to go to "Disneyland", we've got to buy a ticket. That's anyone. If WE want to go, we've got to buy that ticket, AND, some combination of: rest beforehand, take "Pre-Meds", Take it slow (meaning, we'll get less from the ticket), take breakthrough meds, crash and burn afterwards, possibly missing the next day at the park, and probably being less fun to be around!


EXPENSIVE TO BE IN PAIN... You pay in some way, that nobody else really notices, unless they're close to you, and experience it firsthand.
