At least you have internet! My first night in Omaha...1982... they had over 10 inches of snow on the ground and windchills near -75. I was ready to run back to Mississippi when the heater died in our hotel room that night! I spent 4 long winters on the hill near Offutt's hospital with just cable...one TV...and a toddler who had to watch his Sesame Street everyday!

I hope that cough and ear get better soon so you don't have to venture out.
