Had a bad fall on shoulder - now chronic pain possibly myofascial
Hi everyone
I had a bad fall almost 3 years ago. I fell over a cement parking marker onto my left shoulder. Waited for MRI in Canada for some time. Was in chronic pain. Went to USA to have MRI and then surgery. Pain still persisted - has interferred with functioning at home, work and life in general. Tried many medications - had many tests all came back pretty normal. However pain persists and worsens with repetitive movements, sitting at the desk for too long. Sweeping and vacuuming really make it worse. In September, 2009 went to pain clinic after waiting for over a year. Diagnosed as myofascial pain syndrome. Had TRIGGER POINT injection in trapezius part of left shoulder. Very, very painful. By the time I got home the freezing was gone. Doctor seemed to think this was the cure but pain has persisted. They said to come again and get injected but I am reluctant due to pain and no progress last time.
Any one out there with anything like this. I tegretol and lyrica daily for pain. When it gets really bad I use morphine for breakthrough. Any comments. I am suing the parking lot which I fell and this thing does not go to court until January of 2011. Like I stated tests came back normal - have had psychiatric assessment which indicates my improvement is not hindered by a pre-existing psychological condition.
I rely on facts so not having a reason for the pain is very disturbing.
Help!!
I am extremely Frustrated
