Okay, those supplements look like a good start.

Here is a link to a drug called Neurotropin (used in Japan for shingles pain) being trialed at NIH in US.

I am unsure that Neurotropin from Japan is the SAME as Neurotrophin-3. I think they are different. Neurotrophin-3 is a protein growth factor.

NeurotroPIN is a polysaccaride (complex sugar molecule) found in the skin of rabbits infected with herpes zoster virus--that causes chickenpox and shingles in humans.
They are different, but are spelled in closely so can be confused with each other.

Here is the Wiki for NeurotropHin-3...which is a biological and cannot be given by mouth.
