My surgeon put me on mirilax and stool softeners so that there wasn't pressure on the stitches from surgery.
But of course it is causing much difficulty...lots of gas from the mirilax, and now the hemmroids (sp) are so bad...
I think I need to call the surgeon's office to see what I can do other than the typical things one does for this problem...
Is there a local anesthetic that you can buy OTC to ease the pain?
