If you want a knitting machine, look around for a fancy commercial one...made all out of metal, not that plastic crap (Amazing Sweater Machine is not all that Amazing...except for the giant yarn tangles...they get amazingly caught up in the machine) The fancy commercial machines cost in the thousands of dollars tho.

This is an interesting article that talks about what you need to know about machine knitting.

As for the home shopping channels. I ordered some flashlights last week for my dad to use as gifts (I already picked out the one I want...they were in different colors. Mine is blue) I called Home Shopping Network, and they already had my name. (caller i.d. brought up my info) I'd called them once back in 1998 to order a ring, and hadnt ever ordered anything else from them since then. Was surprised they still had my address info. (it was wrong, because we'd moved) It was sooooooo easy to order those flashlights.

My dad was watching again a couple of nights ago, and I was watching it too...they had these nice purses on that night, and my dad told me to go downstairs and order one for my mom. I decided to show him how scary easy it was to order from them. I picked up the phone and called. I was off the phone within two minutes.

My dad was in awe, and also a little frightened.

He thought it was so cool tho. He's done most of his shopping online or thru catalogs this year. If he'd known how easy it was to order off one of those shopping channels, he'd have been doing that too.
