Interesting article. Too technical for most but maybe the push 'hormone denier' doctors need to read.
I would be suspect of a doctor who cast aspersions on a patient for asking about getting hormone levels tested. Further, I would not expect that doctor to understand the meaning of the results. My T was within the normal range but near the bottom. The 'normal range' is rather large. Same goes for the normal range for folate and B-12.
Those same doctors will often say, "Try this drug and let me know how you do." They are willing to take pot shots ate our symptoms with Big Pharma's recommendations but not try the least invasive things like vitamins and hormones.
And they think our problems are in OUR heads? LOL
