There was a current thread on this a few weeks ago that I think was across the board on what people experienced in terms of relief. Most of the clinical literature opposes the use of ice with RSD/CRPS for a number of reasons. Many PT's are unaware that it is contraindicated for us. Mine did not know until I told him after months of benign use that seemed to bring temporary relief from the post-op pain-induced therapy of a shoulder reconstruction.
