Sorry, farm GIRL, or a tomboy, whichever term one wants to use. (Perhaps I had a missing twin and I am a chimera and that is at the root of my autoimmune disease.)
The funky screen name alludes to my former passion, biking.
I do not have one eye, but some may see me as an ornery monster. That is occassionally true.
I grow organic veggies and fruits now. Kind of a retirement gig that is hard work and doesn't pay. That said, I need to mechanize. My poor back and hands are not going to take this much longer.
I need poop for my garden. Problem is one has to either butcher the layers or overwinter them. I would like to overwinter them, but it gets soooo cold here, I can't imagine thawing water for 5 months. Not to mention shoveling out frozen poo and collecting frozen eggs.
I would ask my local farmer for his cow poo, but that cow poo does not smell like cow poo used to. It smells like chemicals. So, I want chicken poo.
Summer is fine and dandy, but winter here sux.
