Default How to get dependant benefits when denied??

Hi, I'm on ssi and ssdi and when I applied for my son to be on my record for ssi and ssdi he got denied as ssa stated I was already receiving the family maximum and that I did not pay enough into the system for my son to qualify. Does anyone know if this is true and also how to go about applying for him this time? Perhaps a seperate application for ssi and ssdi is the way??
Much Appreciated!!

One of these days, I'll feel decent and haul my butt over to the SS office.

I think you should go to your local ss office and make sure they have the paperwork for your son to get benefits and that they have your address, not your ex's to send the checks too.

Good Luck !
