Default Finally the Docs Agree

FINALLY! The docs are agreeing. I saw my Neuro yesterday and upon him touching my hands he felt the obvious temperature difference and when asked about rib removal - he said that, yes, it was the answer in my case. He did caution that docs only tend to tell you about their success stories and that I may not get relief but it is my biggest hope.

He has also taken me off Lyrica and put me back on Neurontin. I had gained weight on Lyrica and he said that, in the long run gaining weight on Lyrica was going to cause me more problems then I already have. I was happy to hear that...i didn't have the weight problem with Neurontin (knock on wood it stays that way)

So the call the surgeon's office says that surgery will likely happen before the end of March...it's just a waiting game now.

I have to say I am much sorer now then I was a year ago. A year ago I could function and was even going to the gym...I still work now but come home most days and zonk out on the couch. I hate this...absolutely hate it...I am hoping for even an ounce of relief!

For those who want to give up on finding an answer my story is this - the pain in numbness started in my hand in 1999, it is just NOW I am getting docs to agree. Even a year ago I couldn't get two docs to even consider TOS (even though it had been diagnosed). Perserverance is key - keep your chin up...good things (news) comes to those who wait...
