Heart

Patrick, I noticed your VERY high pulse in one of your posts last night. That is not normal if it is not YOUR normal. And it's pretty high to be anyone's normal really.

Your high BP and pulse could be for many reasons. Have you seen a cardiologist? I'm frankly worried because you went from such a high dose of Pred down to almost nothing very quickly. That's dangerous!!! You've been on it long enough for your adrenals to not do their job. Please get someone to figure this out soon.

My cardiologist, who is very smart and kind, said to me that the brain and heart don't care what the cause is for a high BP. It adversely effects them and can cause stroke or heart attack, not to mention kidney problems.

120/80 is a very good target and, yes, the docs over here in the U.S. consider that to be the top of normal. For good reason.

I hope you can get this taken care of!

Annie
