Default More anxiety info

Of course, this little anxiety quiz in the PsychCentral Newsletter wasn't intended to take into account details such as whether or not you have PD, bipolar disease, etc. but is there to direct those with high scores to seek medical attention.

And I'm sure they did this quiz to motivate me to dig more into this condition that closely relates to PD motor symptoms. No, I didn't make a mistake - I said "motor" symptoms, not non-motor. I have always noted and contended that mood and motor skills go hand-in-hand, and it appears that science is agreeing. I've been trying to figure out how to focus more attention on the behavioral aspect of Parkinson's, because of the sheer numbers of people suffering from anxiety disorders.

However, I want to keep this thread "Non-scientific" so that others won''t be reluctant in posting (i.e. taking the quiz).

Are you reading between the lines? Yep, maybe we can possibly get some more attention iin Parkinson's disease research when the marketiing folks (such as pharmaceutical companies) see the sheer numbers of PWP who also have an anxiety disorder.

So watch for another thread after we get a few more quiz takers.

The New York Times Magazine cover story for September, 2009 is "Anxiety."
