Default Feeling Guilty in California... then we had an Earthquake

I've just been reading through all the freezing cold posts... and thinking how snuggly warm I feel... and we had an earthquake. Not such a consolation, but it sure wakes us up!
I posted it on my Facebook page for my cousins and family back east, and one cousin freaked out... said we would be swallowed up by the earth, or fall off into the sea! She told me to run to the other side of the mountains! Like I could get over them right now with all the snow falling!
I've lived in California for over 30 years now, I've ridden out two major quakes and over 30 minor ones... I'm a native now. I don't miss the cold after reading all your posts, and after 30 years, I don't miss the family so much either! I go home every few years for family reunions and that fills my need.
Bless you all and I hope you stay warm and healthy through this winter. I have enough trouble keeping my feet warm here where it never snows, I don't know how I would survive there!!!!!!
