My last one was the first one I ever had, from my childhood. At the end of about 30 years, it was just kaput.
In my experience, all discomfort starts and ends with my neck/spine and when it is properly supported in its natural position (visualize the curve in an x-ray), everything sleeps and wakes better.
I keep one for travel and never leave home without it.
