I totally understand where you're coming from, so it's all good...I'm also wary of postulations on causes of diseases, but I'm one of those people who also wants to figure out 'why' or 'how' even though it's a really difficult task as there are so many unknowns, or so many variables...I sometimes want to make some sort of circle graph but I wouldn't know where to start..lol

For me, it seems like it doesn't hurt to avoid chemicals, but it's true that chemicals are all around us, so it's hard to truly avoid them for the most part...Plus, plenty of people are exposed to the same chemicals, but don't get sick...SO many question marks...I guess it's that need to want to have some control over something that seems to have a mind of its own...But then when the disease calms down sometimes, I wonder why...I want to figure out what makes it calm down so I can replicate it so I can get my life back, gosh darnit! (venting moment lol)...

But yeah, you're totally right about the supplements...I've been a sucker plenty of times...I have a laundry basket full of supplements that I've accumulated over the last year...Some, I use regularly, and then others, I don't (like moducare, manganese, NAC, etc.)...So you're definately right that we need to be wary...That book doesn't push supplements, though...It doesn't seem to have any agenda, so it's a good one...But you're right that there are books that seem to promote certain products and we have to be careful.

Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you something (this is the reason for the edit)...Was one of the products that cancer patient purchased Indole 3 carbinol, and do you know anything about that one by any chance? I was taking that for many months prior to my speech issues...I have fibrocystic breast disease and was taking it for that...It affects the way estrogen is metabolized and is supposedly very good for people who have hormonal cancers (prostate, breast, etc.)...Anyway, that one actually got rid of most of my cysts...I sometimes wonder if it affected my thymoma in any way too...I've read that Estrogen is a positive thing when it comes to thymomas for some reason, but I didn't really understand the literature that I came across completely...
