Welcome to the forum Jenna,

I'm so happy to hear you have found some relief for your pain. When did you have your surgery? I had my bunion surgery on my left foot to and it resulted in the development of RSD in 2002 . I also found very good results from the nerve blocks. I had many blocks between late 2002 and 2004, every few weeks. Then I was switched to lidocaine infusions. Overall my swelling is in check but if I'm not careful it can be a problem, I also use a special compounded cream and it is very useful if I have to be on my foot for longer periods of time.

I'm going tomorrow for a new series of 3 lumbar sympathetic blocks over the next 3 weeks as my lidocaine infusions are not giving me the same relief they once did. I have a lot of stress in my life and it is not easy for me to change that. As you have probably learned stress is bad for those of us with RSD. My doctor will give me some keatmine in with the sedation and I'm hoping that will help things calm down too.

You will find lots of great support here and good information from people who really understand what it is you are going through.

Warm wishes.

MsL
