I would suggest seeing a ear specialist also to see if something else might be going on.

Another thing that drives me nuts is my sensitivity to smells. I can't cook food in my crock pot at night due to the smell of the food seeming multiplied. I cook in the daytime so I can get away from the smells.

As far as noise too, it seems multiplied at times even though my right hearing is gone.

I actually don't know if RSD is what causes all of these things but it just seems like we develop a lot more problems with it besides the pain.

Hi Ada, I just want to say I can't stand a lot of food smells of things I used to love. In fact, I'm vegetarian now, which seems strange, but and smell -taste thing is something I can't control. I will eat a few bites of salmon and scallops, but that's it. You'd think I would be skinny, but the meds put weight on me like everyone else. I am going to try and take it off and get more physically active.
My mother in law lost her sense of taste after having menengitis.
Take care, your friend with soft hugs , loretta
