I haven't gone to try on a bra (or any other clothes) in about 30 years. I mail order all clothes.

I have a posture problem and wear a "posture bra" that hooks in the front. It's built up in back. I try to get mainly cotton bras without elastic straps but sometimes the straps are partly elastic.

I wore underwires years ago but wouldn't go near them now. For one thing I had some bras where the underwire part poked its way through the fabric and started poking me. Also, they're too unyielding. I got tired more easily wearing them.

Some of the bras I buy have adjustable straps, with several hooks and holes so you can fit them to yourself so that the straps don't fall off your shoulders.

Pretty bras? I vaguely remember them. These days I go for comfort only....
