Nancy
First start keeping a diary of the time she is wiped out. All day and evening.
Say she gets up in the morning at 9Am. And then needs a nap at 11am.
Then is totally awake at 1pm. Then needs more sleep or is wiped out by
4pm. This may be something that is happening all day.
Do this for say a 2 week period.
Also keep a record of the caffeine she eats and drinks. And if she isn't
having any. Then it might be a thing to have her try some before she
goes to sleep at night. This worked for my son.
Then take this diary to her doctor. Explaining she isn't sleeping at all well.
They may chose to do a sleep study or give her something to help sleep.
