While I was recovering, I had numbness from my hip down to the top of my knee for about 30 minutes and then that was gone. From the moment I woke up and tried to move my ankle the pain was just as bad as before the procedure. My left foot was bright red and warm (which the doctor said made it a "textbook" sympathetic block). I had terrible chills while recovering for about an hour afterwards (although that could just be because hospitals are cold but I was shivering violently and I wan't doing that before the procedure) and that caused the pain in my ankle to worsen for a while. About an hour and a half after the procedure I was back home and the pain was so bad in my ankle that I just laid on the couch and did not get up for a long while...not until this morning really. The pain actually felt worse than before the procedure. But regarding the procedure itself and what you felt right afterwards...what was that like?
My 4 LSB were as a sleepy procedures... Only thing I felt was a numb sensation in my groin area for a day or so afterwards.. I never got pain relief... I was scheduled to have 5 blocks but my Dr. said stop.. not working... The temperature in my foot was an immediate warmth which looked promising but nope... no blocky worky!! Same pain otherwise which is now progressed further...

Sorry for your concerns..I hope i helped you!!
