Maybe it's a flare-up? Might be if you have more pain than usual.

If not...

RSD is divided into 3 stages, stage one is called the hot stage, stage two is where you can go from hot to cold and back again (the colors sort of have a marbled effect too), and stage 3 is the cold stage. Not everyone's RSD follows these outlines, though.
