Not sure what SCS is, but here in Kentucky, if it's invasive, they can't force you. They do use it as an "ugly stick" to beat you up with it sometimes
but your attorney should be able to come back with evidence that says it don't always work and things like that.
The bottom line is, you're not able to work due to a work-related injury. Believe in that you will some day, in small ways, get compensated something for it.
and no, it don't seem fair on this end of the stick, from where the injured person is. Maybe someday but for now, it's tough to go through and not enough in the end.
