It sounds just like the canned pureed tomatoes that are available to buy here, and I actually have some in the freezer which I made from my own home grown tomatoes.

We use a lot of tomatoes in our cooking (soups, casseroles, Italian dishes, etc) so I tend to freeze any surplus that we get from the garden, in fact.... we used some last night in our boglinaise sauce.

I looked at the ketchup recipe but we don't use molasses, so I think I'll try the BBQ one instead.

I'm still trying to imagine green tomato pie Kitt ..... I'll let you know if I give it a try.
