You must be patient as it can take 3+ years for approval. Obviously it can be shorter. However many people are turned down on the first and second application. You will need a good lawyer. I recommend Allsup. Also talk directly to your doctors about your conditions. If they feel you can work some type of job then you will have to either give up or find another doctor. Also what is your past work history and education level. SS will look at all of this and determine if there is a certain type of job you can perform based on this information. What I can tell you is make sure you can afford to attempt this. We almost lost everything. It took me 3+ years to finally get approved.
